Why is CCS Inspired by Waldorf

We chose the Waldorf inspired methodology because its developmental approach perfectly aligns with our belief in honoring childhood. It is a curriculum that meets children where they are. Teaching the students not just what to think, but how to think. Our explorers learn how to engage with the world with purpose and heart.

The independent school movement of Waldorf education includes over 120 schools in the US and more than 1000 globally. Our academics are arts-integrated for children from preschool through high school that enhances and enriches learning. Waldorf education aims to inspire lifelong learning in all students and to enable them to fully develop their unique capacities.

The Forest School Advantage

CCS-THE FIRST FOREST SCHOOL is a unique institution, distinguished as the only forest school in Pakistan to date. It is based on the NBECE, NBL, and Waldorf Education systems. Our goal is to provide enriching educational opportunities for children where the process of nurturing is natural and child centered. Since the founding, we have offered a number of innovative after school programs in many of the leading schools in Karachi.

School Leadership

Adeel Hasan

Adeel Hassan co-founded CCS — The First Forest School out of a profound commitment to redefining how children learn and grow in the modern world. With over 15 years of dedicated research into holistic pedagogy, Adeel’s work is driven by a single, powerful belief. That education should nurture the whole child, the head, the heart, and the hands.

A career educator and mentor at his core, Adeel has spent over a decade working alongside some of Karachi’s most respected educational institutions. His journey is defined by a deep-seated passion for service and inclusion. This is most evident in his extensive volunteer work with the Karachi Down Syndrome Program (KDSP) and his collaboration with ERDC – KYI. This is where he played a pivotal role in reimagining science curricula to be more engaging, hands-on, and accessible for diverse learners.

At CCS, Adeel blends his scientific curiosity with his love for physical movement and philosophy to create a balanced environment. Here children aren’t just students, but explorers. Supported by a professional advisory board and a dedicated team, he is constantly refining the Forest School model. This ensures CCS remains a sanctuary for childhood—a place where academic rigor meets the freedom of the outdoors. Every child is guided toward their fullest potential with empathy and purpose.

Our New

Forest Campus

A Natural Oasis in PECHS Block 6

Our new campus is a natural oasis in the city, with a vast outdoor area designed to be the primary classroom. It is a place where children can connect with the earth, observe the seasons, and learn firsthand about the world around them.

Children progressing through CCS’s play school journey, from playgroup to pre-nursery, nursery, and eventually elementary, benefit from a solid academic foundation. Minds free to inquire and learn, bodies strong and able to work, hands ready to create, and hearts open to others and to the wonders of nature.
